Therapy for women, rooted in nature.
Helping you find the path back to yourself.
Maybe it sounds something like this…
You're anxious about everything and tired of missing out on your own life. You're sad more days than not, and you can't remember when that started. Your kids need less of you now, or your marriage looks different than it used to, or you're staring down a birthday that has you asking, "Is this what my life is now?"
Underneath it all is a woman who has been holding everything together for so long she's forgotten what she actually wants.
Here's what I know after years of doing this work, and a few decades of being a woman in this world:
you are still in there.
The wanting-things version of you. The laughing version. She didn't disappear. She's just been buried under everyone else's needs for a while.
Therapy with me is where we go find her.
Hi, I’m Katerina Philbrick
Therapist, nature lover, feminist, and a woman who has been through many of the things that brought you here.
Before I was a therapist, I spent years as a scientist, until the day I walked away from a soul-crushing career to spend two weeks in the White Mountains coming back to life. That experience led me on a path to Nature Therapy. Now I help women find their way back to themselves, often with nature as part of the work.
What I Offer
Therapy for Women
For anxiety, depression, and the transitions nobody prepares you for: motherhood, divorce, the empty nest, menopause, retirement, and every "what now?" in between. This is the heart of my practice.
Nature Therapy
Outdoor sessions, walk-and-talk therapy on a lakeside trail, or simply the calm of a nature-filled space. Whether you're an avid hiker or you just miss feeling connected to the natural world, it can be part of your healing here.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
For depression, anxiety, and trauma that haven't budged, KAP can open a door that talk alone sometimes can't. I provide the preparation and integration therapy that give meaning to the medicine.
Even if we never set foot on a trail, nature is part of therapy here.
My office is filled with plants, natural light, the scents of pine and cedar, and the sounds of birdsong and water. Sessions might happen in the gazebo on my property, or by the fire. Even my telehealth clients get a good view.
Decades of research show that nature calms the nervous system, and I've built my whole practice around that.
You don't have to be outdoorsy. You just have to show up. Nature does some of the work either way.
Let’s Get Started
Begin with a free 15-20 minute phone consultation. You tell me a little about what's going on and what you're hoping for. I'll answer your questions and tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
If we're a match, I'll send you everything you need before our first session, so we can get right to what matters: you.
